The story behind this project: As a kid I heard phrases like "you hit like a girl" or "don't be a princess" thrown around all the time in ways that made feel like girls (especially Disney-Princesses-loving-girls) should feel ashamed or embarrassed. Well, folks, can we all just agree it’s time to FORGET THAT?! I’m happy that I’ve grown into a person that now knows women are powerful and essential in this world. This art series is my way of expressing and celebrating that. I'm so excited to reintroduce these characters not just as princesses, but as the HEROINES they always have been.
